That slow rock song
The Bee Gees song How Deep Is Your Love was my dead brother’s favorite song. I was not able to ask him why but my guess was it was brought on my the Slow Rock Sundays of my mom and dad. When we were little kids, our parents would always play their cassette tapes of slow rock music on Sundays. We would expect it by then. We knew that every Sunday was our parents’ day. My dad’s favorite is the Bee Gees. Naturally, we would always hear this song.
I remember when my brother would go to the hospital for his periodic chemo sessions, we would bring a cassette tape player, a walkman I think, so he could play his favorite song.
I miss him terribly. Hearing How Deep Is Your Love in the radio or anywhere else brings an onslaught of sadness in me.
