Novels in between textbooks
When I was in high school, Tagalog romance novels were “in”, along with Sweet Dreams and Sweet Valley High series. You could find us swapping books in between classes. You could even find novels in between textbooks. That’s how we were able to read so many novels in a day. Classes were so boring for me back then. Novels were much more interesting, of course. Fortunately for me, I was good at memorizing and multi-tasking. When a teacher calls me to recite, most likely, I knew the right answer.
