A certain sadness…

There is a certain sadness to sunsets. Don’t you think? When I was still a kid, I dread the sunset. It would mean end of playtime with my cousins. It would mean going inside the house and sleeping early. There’s tv but then playtime outside was way better than sitting in front of the idiot box.
When I was working in Makati, sunsets made me sad. For some reason, I hated going out of the office with a few rays of the sun still lighting the sky and then arriving home already dark.
Sunsets bring a melancholic feel to everything. Or is it just me?
Happy Sunday!

I personally find watching a sunset a truly beautiful experience, especially when I’m with my wife. When I was living in Barbados, we use to head down to a local beauty spot overlooking the Caribbean Sea, with a bottle of bubbly and I can tell you those moments will live with me for ever, pure romance.
