In His time

Friday, February 3rd, 2012

What God intended for you goes far beyond anything you can imagine.
– Oprah

It’s not easy being patient when you are waiting for your wishes to come true. I am sure majority of you are with me on this. Am I right? If we pray now we are sure to wish for our prayers to happen NOW. Or anytime VERY SOON. That’s how I pray!

But even if I do pray for a speedy process on my wishes, at the back of my mind I know that everything will happen in His time. Not ours but His. He controls everything and makes sure we don’t get ahead of ourselves. The world needs a semblance of control and if He grants our wishes in the blink of an eye, there will be chaos. And no happiness at all.

I kept praying. The half part of 2011 was not too good for me but I just kept on praying. I know things will ease up this year for me and I trust Him to see that it happens. In His time, of course.

Enjoying the sun

Laugh your heart out,
Dance in the rain,
Cherish the moment,
Ignore the pain.

Live. Laugh. Love.

Forgive and forget!

Life’s too short to live with regrets.

Wrong Choices

I believe it. We don’t know that sometimes what we thought is a wrong choice will turn out to be a blessing in disguise that will lead us to a positive result.

We just have to believe ourselves and keep the faith that everything will fall into place sooner or later.

Happy Monday!

Cooking for the family

Cooking

I am thinking about cooking for the family again. I did this when I was in my teens and in college. But when I started working, I stopped. I cooked from time to time but I totally stopped more than five years ago when I started working at home. Weird, right? Just when I am at home most of the time that’s when I stopped cooking. There’s a reason for that. I turned my world upside down when I started working at home. So whenever it’s time for cooking, I am either asleep or working with a deadline.

Work mellowed a bit for me. I now have a bit more time to spare for cooking once again. I am inspired by my friends who are posting dishes they prepared in their blogs. I think it’s time to show others that I can cook, too!

Positive thoughts

positive thoughts

My mind is not always filled with good things. I admit as much. There are days when I feel like biting someone’s head off just because. But I try as much as I can to be a positive person. I try to think of positive thoughts.

I have decided that starting today, until I can hold off bad thoughts, I will only entertain positive things. I won’t go looking for any thing that will change the positive path I am in.

Blessings pouring in

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

think positive

Thank You, Lord!

That’s the first thing I managed to utter when I saw the blessing that came in early this morning (or was it last night?). I was so happy! For a few weeks now I’ve been doing nothing but worry and worry day in and day out. So when I saw the blessing that came in, I wanted to jump for joy!

Thank You. It meant a lot to be reassured this way. It may not be much for some people but for me it’s more than enough.

When I Met You

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

Sudden inspirations. These are the best! I’ve just been struck with something yesterday and I am happy to say that I am inspired to follow through!

I can’t say what it is yet. But it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Both. I call it my projects. I am taking steps to achieve the first one. I am still plotting how I will go about getting the second one.

I am excited!!!

Doting parent

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

There is nothing more inspiring than to see a parent doting on his/her child. It’s like a shot to your heart! You will feel this immediate positive feeling where you either remember how it’s like to be doted upon by your own parent(s) or you feel like showing someone that you love them.

I’ve seen this again and again and each and every time it reminds me of how my mom used to dote on me and my siblings. She’s the best mom when it comes to doting, I swear to you! You can whine and all that and she would try to give you everything you wanted.

Inspiring Pacman

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

Manny Pacquiao is undoubtedly a big inspiration to every one who had to struggle or still struggling in life. He grew up as poor as a rat but look at him now. He is listed as one of the richest boxers in the world! He is even listed in Forbes magazine. He has millions and millions of money and several businesses under his and his wife’s names. If he just live simply, he and his grand, grandkids won’t ever have to work so hard for money anymore.

What’s inspiring with Pacman is that he tells his story and is not ashamed of where he came from. He also kept saying that all the riches in the world is just fleeting. And can be taken away from him in an instant. He shares his blessings and he might be a show off from time to time, but the words hard work, focus and prayers are always coming out of his mouth.

I wish I can get even a quarter of his net worth now.
