Concern for other women

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012

I love how a friend of mine is helping former domestic helpers move on in their lives. They are now without jobs because of their age and instead of becoming jobless forever, my friend is helping them find another source of income. Three of the former domestic helpers are now in a cosmetology school learning salon services. They can open their own salons in their provinces or they can work for other salons willing to accept them despite their ages.

My friend’s concern for other women is doing them a lot of good! And Regency Institute’s unique approach to teaching beauty is the beginning to their new lives.

Side effect

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012

I don’t know with you but I get scared when I hear of side effects of medicines sick people trusted to heal them. Unsuspectingly, the sick person, instead of getting better, becomes more sick! This will happen to those taking Crestor if they are not yet already suffering from serious side effects from it.

File a Crestor lawsuit with the help of legal experts. That’s what you should do if you are suffering from side effects from this medicine. Do not be afraid to come forward and assert your rights. You should fight those people behind this medicine linked to serious side effects!

Disney in 2012!

Saturday, December 24th, 2011

I am reminded of a dream my siblings and I have been nurturing since we were little kids… to go to Disneyland! We would like to experience it even if we are now grown-ups. I saw the disney hotels in Orlando and, boy, did I start feeling that yearning again to go to Disney!

I hope we can all go this 2012. I hope we can all see Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the Disney characters live. It’s a child’s wish, I believe, and a simple one at that. The only hurdle to this wish is our source of funds.

Very soon…

A new beginning

Saturday, December 24th, 2011

We all deserve a second chance in life. A new beginning. There are those struggling with dependency and bad vices. There is still hope for them. Go and get dual diagnosis treatment. There is still a way to get the bad stuff off a person’s system if only help will be given. And, of course, the desire to get better is within the person’s heart.

This is the perfect time to a new beginning. The year is about to end and a new one about to start. Perfect timing. If you are looking for a fresh start, or for a love one, this is it. Get them help. Get help yourself!

Great deals this holiday season

Tuesday, December 20th, 2011

There are so many great deals this holiday season and all you need to do is to look patiently for it. A friend of mine told me about the eddie bauer coupons 2012 that she found. She was able to find a lot of items that she can give to love ones because of those coupons. I will be looking as well later in the day.

Patience is the key during the holiday season. Traffic jams, long queues in shopping centers and malls, packs of individual shoppers everywhere. You will lose your patience if you are not prepared for it. But if you are, there are gems in different areas of the city that you can find.

A creative being

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

If there is one person who has the creative juices to come up with a product that will make everyone’s jaws drop, that would be Rein. She really knows her craft! She is an artist through and through and a creative being born to make really beautiful things.

Can you imagine a bookcase made of glass tile? Yes, she did it and when someone saw it, the bookcase was immediately sold! She also has several other crafts that she made and were all sold within 24 hours of it being displayed in her shop.

Unwind with music

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

I was writing and not minding the world a few days ago. I had an epiphany when I stopped for a while and just listened to the music blaring in my ears. I realized that I can think more clearly with my Beats headphone on! I realized that I am more relaxed when music is on. I don’t feel rushed or harassed at all!

Music is my way to unwind after a really busy day. I listen to mellow music before going to sleep. If I can only let the music keep playing all night long, irregardless of electricity and my ears’ well being, I might let it.

When there’s an emergency…

Sunday, November 20th, 2011

A television network shooting outside the city made sure there is a standby medical air evacuation should something happen to the actors and the production team. There were shooting in a rocky area and we all know how accidents could happen at a time and place when and where you least expect it.

They brought along five motorhomes and one RV for the stars of the show. All the rest are camping out in the area or treks to a nearby town where they rented out rooms from the locals.

I read about it in an online blog dedicated to the show. I kept thinking it will be an adventure for me if I am part of the production team. Imagine trekking in the middle of the night to get some sleep!

Create a website for your virtual address

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

If there is one thing I learned to love in the past couple of years that I am blogging, it is creating websites! I learned how to create a website and never looked back. I learned how to code and tweak and studied whatever else related to website creation. You know I do believe that a web site is your virtual address where you can direct your readers. If you have a business, a website is very important because it is the place online where you can direct regular and potential clients to.

I have done a couple of websites for myself and for friends. Nothing too fancy just a place where they can show off their skills and direct potential clients to, while the website I created for myself is where I write my views and opinions on what’s happening around the country.

Creating a website is like giving birth to the sum total of your ideas. It demands my total attention and I willingly submit myself to it. It is like creating a house from scratch. A virtual home, you can say. If you don’t have one yet make sure you set up one as soon as possible. If you have a business and you want to make a mark online, a website is the fastest way to do it. Make sure you have one. It is your virtual address/office, you know.

I am participating in a blog campaign from Bucks2Blog for an online website builder company and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own.

The masters in business administration paid off!

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

For the longest time my sister had her eyes on a food franchise business. She even had possible locations already in mind. What she did was wrote a proposal to me with all the details of the food franchise business she wanted us to open together. Seeing the potential, I immediately agreed to her proposal. But since we only have a one-time shot at it with limited capital, we wanted to make sure we really know the ins and outs of a business so we enrolled in a business school. We took up masters in business administration together where we had so much fun bonding over lessons and meeting potential business associates. Not only did we learn a lot from those MBA classes but also the time we spent together bonded us like no other.

Personally, I think getting an MBA is recommended if you are serious in putting up a business. It is still best to learn the theories in business administration and then using it in creating a successful business like the food franchise business that my sister and I put up. It is doing great and my sister and I are deliberating whether to put up another food franchise business elsewhere in the city. A new one that is currently very “in” at the moment.

At least we both know that the masters in business administration that we took paid off!
